Telematics, telepresence and interactive performance on the Internet: past, present, future

This presentation reviews the past, present and future of -- and issues inherent in -- arts practice, aesthetics, and computing that arise in telepresence and interactive digital media performance. Focusing on UC theorists and practitioners, this presentation describes and shows past and present work that pushes the envelope on technological capabilities in order to create performing arts events that occur at multiple locations simultaneously.
